The goal of this program is to improve diagnosis and management of endocarditis and treatment of rhinorrhea. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be able to:
1. Identify patients with definite or probable native-valve infective endocarditis.
2. Compare use and effectiveness of transthoracic echocardiography (echo) vs transesophageal echo in diagnosis of infective endocarditis.
3. Explain pharmacologic treatment of infective endocarditis.
4. Differentiate between allergic and vasomotor rhinitis.
5. Explain effectiveness of postganglionic fiber ablation in treatment of rhinitis.
