The goal of this program is to improve management of endo-crine changes associated with aging and management of nosebleeds. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Differentiate between age-related changes in thyroid function and clinical hypothyroidism.
2. Treat older patients with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
3. Assess the risks and benefits of testosterone therapy and hormone replacement therapy for older adults.
4. Identify risk factors for and the source of nosebleeds.
5. Develop strategies for management of nosebleeds.
