Enduring: Fracture Management in SCI

Enduring: Fracture Management in SCI

The Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder (SCI/D) National Program Office has developed this training series to help train providers/healthcare team throughout VA who care for Veterans with SCI/D to ensure they’re delivering the highest quality care. This is essential training for ensuring that high-quality services are delivered to Veterans with SCI/D. Currently, many providers at SCI/D Spokes and CBOCs and other facilities are not familiar with SCI/D or would benefit from exposure to best practices in the delivery of telehealth -based care to Veterans with Spinal Cord injuries when delivering primary care, whole health, and sexual health services. The purpose of this recorded knowledge-based webinar is to spread considerations for lower extremity fracture treatment for Veterans with a chronic SCI. This training will cover relevant aspects of the latest guidelines from the Orthopedic Trauma Association (OTA) on acute lower extremity fracture management in persons with a SCI.
