Mental and emotional well-being are key components of overall health. However, mental health is more than a series of symptoms or diagnoses to be treated: rather, it is a developmental process that occurs across the lifespan. Pediatricians are well-positioned to support the healthy mental development of children and families. The goal of this course is to help general pediatricians feel confident and empowered to address mental health concerns that may present in practice. Participants will improve their knowledge and skills regarding early identification and screening, assessment, and ongoing management of mental health conditions in children.
