NOTE: This activity is available only as part of a paid subscription series; it is not available for purchase as a single, stand-alone activity. The goal of this program is to improve use of estrogen receptor (ER) targeted imaging, implementation of recent guideline updates on partial-breast irradiation, and patient outcomes through understanding of adaptive responses to genome-wide DNA damage in glioblastoma. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Optimize use of fluoroestradiol (FES) positron emission tomography (PET) in ER positive breast cancer. 2. Distinguish effectiveness of various imaging modalities in ER positive breast cancer. 3. Cite outcomes of the ELIOT trial comparing intraoperative radiation therapy with whole-breast irradiation. 4. List outcomes of the RAPID trial comparing adverse effects of partial-breast with whole-breast irradiation. 5. Explain evidence showing effectiveness of the CRISPR-Cas9 system for study of DNA damage.
