Stridor is a common referral for otolaryngologists. It often signifies upper airway obstruction but acuity and urgency of intervention can vary. In this case-based session, we will present different etiologies of laryngeal and upper airway obstruction. The cases will review pertinent laryngoscopy findings (and how to get an accurate exam), clinical history pearls, management options, and considerations for safe anesthetic technique regarding the airway. The session goals are to increase confidence with diagnosing stridor etiology, management techniques, and comfort with acute airway.
