The goal of this program is to improve evaluation and management of first-episode psychosis (FEP). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Classify epidemiologic factors associated with presentation of FEP. 2. Reduce the duration of untreated psychosis to improve patient outcomes. 3. Weigh the risks and benefits of certain antipsychotic agents on the treatment and prevention of psychosis. 4. Recognize findings associated with anti-N-methyl-Daspartate receptor encephalitis. 5. Treat catatonia and mania.
