Obesity is a significant health concern worldwide because it is a risk factor for many diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and cancers. A complex interplay of genetic changes, environmental influence, biological and behavioral factors precede obesity. Therefore, the management involves a multidisciplinary approach in which lifestyle modification plays a considerable role. This activity reviews the evaluation and management of obesity and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in improving the care of patients with this condition.
