Health care disparities undermine the ability for patients to access equitable care, receive timely and accurate diagnoses and treatments, and achieve the best possible outcomes. Each patient’s health journey is intrinsically tied to their surrounding circumstances, including individual social determinants of health (SDoH) as well as structural racism and systemic bias in the medical community. Such factors lead to health inequities that undermine the patient experience and, ultimately, their health outcome.
In this CME Outfitters webcast, expert faculty will discuss the root causes of structural racism and its deep-rooted impact on health care, influence of SDoH on patient and community health, and significance of individualized care. This webcast will provide actionable strategies to foster diversity, inclusion, equity, and equality within the health care space, laying the groundwork to advance health equity.
