The goal of this program is to improve management of individuals who exhibit medically significant behavior. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be better able to: 1. Review the prevalence and clinical significance of delirium. 2. Summarize the controversies and issues around the term excited delirium. 3. Identify underlying medical causes that contribute to medically significant behavior. 4. Advocate for law enforcement and emergency medical services to follow best practices when managing people with medically significant behavior. 5. Develop best practices for use of ketamine and other medications when needed to manage medically significant behavior.
