The goal of this program is to improve patient outcomes through understanding of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and Alzheimer disease (AD), management of OSA with sleep endoscopy, and treatment of sleep disturbances associated with COVID-19. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Explain the effects of dual orexin receptor antagonists on cerebrospinal fluid levels in patients with low sleep efficiency. 2. Assess the effects of continuous positive airway pressure therapy on cognitive decline in patients with AD and OSA. 3. Compare efficiency in identification of hypopharyngeal collapse using drug-induced sedation endoscopy vs the Müller maneuver. 4. Optimize use of upper airway stimulation in patients with OSA. 5. Analyze the association between sleep duration and antibody acquisition after COVID-19 vaccination.
