The goal of this program is to improve the management of postoperative fever. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be better able to: 1. Diagnose postoperative fever in a timely manner. 2. Identify the most common sites of infection following surgery. 3. Utilize antibiotics appropriately in a perioperative setting. 4. Approach the examination and testing of a patient with postoperative fever in a judicious manner.
