The goal of this program is to improve management of fibromyalgia and counseling about family planning. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Perform a diagnostic workup for fibromyalgia. 2. Select patients most likely to benefit from pharmacologic treatment of fibromyalgia. 3. Counsel patients about the long-term prognosis of fibromyalgia. 4. Explain why some methods of birth control are more effective than others. 5. Recommend alternative birth control methods to patients wishing to make a change.
