The goal of this program is to improve prevention of firearm injuries and management of depression and suicidality in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare the rates of death by gun violence in states with stronger vs weaker gun laws. 2. Explain the effect of extreme risk protection orders on suicide. 3. Screen for depression and suicidality in children. 4. Cite US Preventive Services Task Force guidelines on screening for suicide. 5. Explain use of combination therapy in treatment of depression.
