The goal of this program is to improve management of flexor and extensor injuries, and management of common hand injuries. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Use anatomical tests to diagnose extensor tendon injuries. 2. Choose a treatment for correction of Boutonnière deformities. 3. Recognize indications for surgical management of bony mallet injuries. 4. Identify patients at increased risk for Dupuytren contracture. 5. Select a surgical approach for proximal interphalangeal joint silicone implant arthroplasty.
