The goal of this program is to improve the management of food allergies in children and pediatric congenital syphilis. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1 Distinguish between food allergy and food intolerance, and food sensitivity.
2. Identify common food allergies in children.
3. Optimize the management of food allergy–associated anaphylaxis.
4. Utilize appropriate screening and diagnostic tools for maternal and congenital syphilis.
5. Select appropriate treatment strategies for infants with congenital syphilis.
