Gaucher disease results from mutations in the GBA1 gene, leading to deficient glucocerebrosidase activity within lysosomes. Clinical manifestations, including hepatosplenomegaly, pancytopenia, osteoporosis, and avascular necrosis, vary in severity depending on the disease type.
