General Adult Tumor Board is a required meeting/component of an Approved Cancer Program with the American College of Surgeons. Tumor Board is a multidisciplinary consultative panel of physicians which must include physician representatives from surgery, pathology, radiology, radiation oncology and medical oncology. Cancer cases are discussed among the multidisciplinary team to improve clinical decision making, clinical outcomes and patient experience. Cancer outcomes are better when patients are managed according to the principles of multidisciplinary team evaluation.
