The New Mexico General Pediatric ECHO program presents foundational pediatric scenarios and cases that may require sub-specialty input. Participants will learn how to start an initial work-up in the outpatient setting and review best practice management and follow-up needs. The first ECHO series will address mental health topics including depression, anxiety and suicide prevention in teenagers, eating disorders, managing ADHD, developmental delays, cognitive delays, and autism in children. Future systems-based topics will include infectious disease (congenital syphilis, addressing new guidelines in the treatment of community-acquired, long COVID), endocrinology (recognizing diabetic ketoacidosis), gastroenterology (constipation, chronic abdominal pain, childhood obesity), and more.
