The goal of this program is to improve management of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men, and management of cardiovascular complications in female athletes. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Explain American Urologic Association recommendations for workup of LUTS in men.
2. Differentiate postvoiding LUTS and storage LUTS.
3. Diagnose isolated nocturia using postvoid residual tests and urinalysis.
4. Cite 2015 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association guidelines for competitive athletes regarding sudden cardiac death.
5. Compare cardiovascular considerations in female vs male athletes.
