The goal of this program is to improve the management of pediatric gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other common pediatric gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Differentiate signs and symptoms of pediatric GERD from those of conditions that mimic GERD.
2. Use appropriate tests and measures to diagnose pediatric GERD.
3. Identify pediatric GI disorders that have been shown to respond to probiotic therapy.
4. Prevent recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection in children.
5. Diagnose celiac disease in children.
