The goal of this program is to improve management of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, long-term management following bariatric surgery, and the workup of liver disease. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Stratify risk in a patient who presents with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. 2. Perform appropriate postoperative evaluation of patients who have undergone bariatric surgery. 3. Manage complications of bariatric surgery. 4. Interpret laboratory findings in patients with suspected liver disease. 5. Determine whether liver biopsy is indicated for a patient with signs of liver disease.
