The goal of this program is to improve management of driving risk in patients with glaucoma, knowledge about gene therapy for glaucoma and other ocular diseases, management of patients wearing scleral contact lenses, malpractice risk related to cornea surgery, and man agement of optic disc hemorrhage. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Counsel patients on potential driving impairments associated with glaucoma. 2. Summarize the potential role, benefits, and drawbacks of gene therapy for treatment of glaucoma. 3. Educate patients on optimal care of scleral lenses. 4. Develop strategies for malpractice risk management related to cornea surgery. 5. Perform follow-up testing and observation of patients with optic disc hemorrhage.
