The goal of this program is to improve cardiovascular outcomes through prescription of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), surgical outcomes through use of viscoelastic testing, and surgical and postoperative outcomes with intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Synthesize evidence-based data supporting the use of GLP-1 RAs. 2. Evaluate clinical benefits associated with use of current technology for thromboelastography and rotational thromboelastometry. 3. Compare currently available techniques for intraoperative neurophysiologic neuromonitoring. 4. Use appropriate anesthetics during intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring. 5. Optimize perioperative pain management with total intravenous anesthesia.
