Extensor tendon lacerations are relatively common injuries that, when not treated appropriately, may result in a lasting impairment of hand function. The injury mostly affects the working-age group; therefore, it has a great economic impact on society. This activity reviews the evaluation and management of extensor tendon lacerations in the hand and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in improving care for patients with this injury.
