Traumatic brain injury (TBI) due to head trauma is a common presentation in emergency departments and usually accounts for more than one million visits annually. It is a common cause of death and disability among children and adults. Traumatic brain injury is classified as mild, moderate, or severe, based on the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score. This activity reviews the evaluation and management of head trauma and highlights the role of interprofessional team members in collaborating to provide well-coordinated care and enhance outcomes for affected patients.
