This training course, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is designed to equip healthcare providers with an existing foundational knowledge of pediatric mTBI with additional knowledge and skills necessary to improve the care and outcomes of children with mTBI by effectively implementing the CDC Pediatric mTBI Guideline. This training course includes recommendations that address imaging, symptom scales, cognitive testing, and standardized assessment for diagnosis; history and risk factor assessment, monitoring, and counseling for prognosis; patient/family education, rest, support, return to school, return to sports, identifying violence-related mTBI, and symptom management for treatment. This training provides guidance for actionable implementation of these recommendations.
