The goal of this program is to improve the management of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and exercise prescription for cardiovascular health. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Optimize treatment of heart failure in patients with diabetes mellitus with or without HFrEF.
2. Predict the risk for major adverse outcomes in patients treated with angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitors.
3. Choose appropriate medications for guideline-directed medical therapy in patients with HFrEF.
4. Formulate a treatment plan for cardiovascular health using exercise medicine to reduce cardiovascular disease and cancer related mortality.
5. Recommend appropriate intensity levels of physical activity to improve cardiovascular health.
