The goal of this program is to improve management of heart failure (HF) and treatment of patients with cardiac sarcoidosis. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Explain the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association classification of HF. 2. Optimize use of the B-type natriuretic peptide test in HF. 3. Use thiazide diuretics in patients with HF. 4. List risk factors for and incidence of sarcoidosis. 5. Compare imaging modalities in diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis.
