The goal of this program is to improve management of aortic disease in women and treatment of atrial fibrillation. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Explain aortic structure and pathophysiology in relation to aortic aneurysms.
2. Cite differences in aneurysm between women and men.
3. List surgical considerations in aneurysm.
4. Compare left atrial appendage occlusion devices and direct acting oral anticoagulants in treatment of atrial fibrillation.
5. Optimize use of left atrial appendage occlusion devices in atrial fibrillation.
