The goal of this program is to improve management of unusual thrombosis and hematologic complications of COVID-19 infection and vaccines. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify patients at risk for unusual thrombi.
2. Select appropriate diagnostic modalities for unusual thrombi.
3. Determine the best treatment strategy for unusual thrombi.
4. Identify the clinical features of vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT).
5. Recommend evidence-based treatment strategies for management of VITT.
