The goal of this program is to improve care for patients with suspected hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke and the use of various surgical approaches for managing valvular heart disease. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Develop an approach to suspected hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke.
2. Recognize signs of neurologic complications of hemorrhagic stroke.
3. Compare minimally invasive and percutaneous approaches to valvular heart disease.
4. Incorporate neuraxial techniques into minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
5. Select appropriate treatment strategies for managing valvular heart disease.
