The goal of this program is to improve treatment of patients with herpes virus infection and management of heart failure (HF) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare effectiveness among diagnostic tests in herpes simplex virus (HSV). 2. Optimize use of episodic therapy in patients with HSV lesions. 3. Define Malloret meningitis. 4. Explain how HF affects estimated glomerular filtration rate. 5. Contrast the effect of metoprolol succinate with nondia lyzable medications in patients with hypotension during dialysis.
