This one-hour, on-demand, journal article-based activity explores examines the relationship between higher first 30-day buprenorphine doses and a reduction in opioid-involved overdose death and death from all other causes. It provides evidence supporting the benefits of higher dosing in reducing mortality and may be used to inform existing clinical practice norms for MOUD treatment in order to enhance patient safety and reduce patient mortality.
