The goal of this program is improve outcomes of anesthesia for surgical treatment of hip fractures. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Compare outcomes of spinal and general anesthesia in patients undergoing surgery for hip fracture.
2. Minimize hypotension in patients undergoing surgery for hip fracture.
3. Choose an optimal level of placement and dose for fascia iliaca blocks in elderly patients with hip fracture.
