In this recorded session, we will explore various aspects of loneliness and social isolation through a series of presentations from distinguished speakers. Mary Henningfield, PhD, Scientist II in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, will discuss “Screening for Loneliness in Primary Care.” Alexis Eastman, MD, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, will present on “Loneliness and Social Isolation in Elders.” Traci Gaydos, MFA, CMP, Director of SMPH Signature Events, will cover “Intentional Planning to Reduce Isolation at Events.” Lastly, John Beasley, MD, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, will address “Loneliness and Social Isolation in Clinicians: The Role of Changing Expectations, EHR, and Approaches
