In this course, participants hear the story of a child seen during a telehealth appointment where several trafficking indicators are present. Telehealth has an added layer of complexity to identifying victims. The increased use of telehealth because of technological advances and environmental events like the COVID-19 pandemic have uncovered the need to identify and react appropriately to signs of trafficking observed during a telehealth visit. The subject matter expert will call out specific signs of telehealth, explain how significant events impact victims, and prescribe specific actions a telehealth professional can take once they observe a reportable trafficking observation.
