HYPERTENSION/CARDIAC ARREST

The goal of this program is to improve awareness and management of hypertension at the community level and survival outcomes in patients with cardiac arrest. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be better able to:
1. Implement various community-level interventions for better management of hypertension among adults.
2. Recognize children as community liaisons for intergenerational transfer of hypertension awareness among the adult population.
3. Identify factors that contribute to successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation following cardiac arrest.
4. Review systems of care and guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA) for initial management of cardiac arrest.
5. Select appropriate management strategies for cardiac arrest based on AHA guidelines and emerging clinical data.
