Descrip tion On-site coverage of contact team sporting events and how we manage those injuries in the first 48 hours is vital to team physicians. Who is out and who is in. What studies do we need to evaluate injuries, determine return to game play and exactly at what time that can be done safely. We will cover both upper and lower extremity issues with a focus on those injuries that are commonly seen on ‘game day’. We will also discuss what changes are happening within our workspace and exactly how that may change what we do given the medical legal climate we live in. This is the type ICL that is hard to find in a textbook. Only from years of experience of on-site game coverage do you learn this specific skill set. In detail we will discuss the actual event, the first 24-48 hours post injury, and the first week of possible return to play. What can we not MISS? If surgical intervention is required, what does return to play look like and when.
