IC 208-2023: All You Need to Know about Meniscus Preservation. This course will review key components of meniscal repair and emphasize the importance of meniscus preservation. Indications for meniscus repair versus partial meniscectomy will be discussed. Techniques for repair of complex meniscal tears, including all-inside, inside-out, and outside-in repair, will be examined in a case-based discussion along with unique advantages, disadvantages, and indications for each. Finally, complications of meniscus preservation procedures and prevention with meniscal centralization and meniscus allograft transplantation will also be discussed.
