The goal of this program is to improve the diagnosis and man agement of necrotizing infections, prevention and management of tetanus, and diagnosis and management of pulmonary embolism (PE), stroke, and septic shock. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Differentiate among the various types of necrotizing infections. 2. Explain the benefit of the drop or finger test in diagnosis of necrotizing infections. 3. Choose appropriate tetanus vaccine in adults. 4. Use the YEARS algorithm plus age-adjusted D-dimer test to rule out PE. 5. Compare effectiveness of endovascular thrombectomy alone and endovascular thrombectomy with intravenous thrombolysis in patients with large vessel occlusion strokes.
