The goal of this program is to improve management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) during pregnancy, management of celiac disease (CD), and management of hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify medications for IBD that should be stopped during pregnancy. 2. Select laboratory tests for monitoring of IBD activity during pregnancy. 3. Use genetic testing to identify patients with CD. 4. Advise patients with CD on planning gluten-free diets. 5. Implement surveillance with colonoscopy of patients at increased risk for colorectal cancer.
