The goal of this program is to improve the management of inflammatory bowel disease using complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), use of precision medicine in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and employment of interventional endoscopy. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Advise patients with IBD about the risks associated with the use of cannabis in treatment. 2. Use mesalamine with bioenhanced curcumin in ulcerative colitis. 3. Optimize use of infliximab in ulcerative colitis. 4. Differentiate among drug classes in effectiveness for treatment of significant colonic disease in Crohn disease. 5. Employ endoscopic ultrasonography-guided interventions in patients with gastroenterologic disease.
