This comprehensive Inpatient Certificate program is an asynchronous program designed to equip healthcare professionals with a specific focus on the nursing role, with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective inpatient diabetes care. The program covers essential aspects of diabetes management, from initial patient assessment, glucose targets based on diagnosis and treatments, nutrition therapy, to medications, including insulin, oral, and non-insulin injectable agents. Participants will learn how to prevent and manage acute complications, utilize diabetes technology safely, and ensure smooth transitions of care for patients upon discharge.
