The goal of this program is to improve management of insomnia, use of hyperosmolar therapy in neurologic critical care, and middle meningeal artery embolization for subdural hematoma. After hear ing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Assess the severity of insomnia using available tools. 2. Optimize use of orexin antagonists for the treatment of insomnia. 3. Explain the importance of reflection coefficients in use of hyper osmolar agents. 4. Compare recent insights into the pathophysiology of subdural hematoma with previous attribution. 5. Cite the benefits of middle meningeal artery embolization in the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma.
