Interventional Cardiology Case Review

Weekly Case review meeting to evaluate clinical presentations for patient with acute cardiac symptoms, criteria for interventions/treatments and efficacy of interventions/treatments and how they affect patient outcomes. In order to maintain our facilities certificate of ongoing performance for PCI, the Maryland Healthcare Commission requires all programs to review 10% of interventional cardiology cases by review committee and ensure appropriate use criteria be applied to intervention selected. This committee is made up of Administrative Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, data coordinators, and cath lab nurses and technical staff.
