The goal of this program is to improve management of patients with mild traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage, and management of venous thromboembolism in children. After hearing and assimilat ing this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify patients with mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) who do not require admission. 2. Use criteria from the Brain Injury Guidelines to risk stratify patients with TBI. 3. Relate signs seen on imaging to likelihood of thrombotic conditions. 4. Choose anticoagulant agents for use in children with thromboembolism. 5. Select patients with thrombosis for thrombophilia testing based on family history.
