The goal of this program is to improve management of refractory headache, menstrual migraine, and tension-type headache and cervicogenic headache. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Appreciate the difference in the American and European criteria for diagnosis of refractory headaches.
2. Select a newer mode of treatment for refractory headache.
3. Recommend an appropriate nonpharmacologic treatment option to a patient with menstrual migraine.
4. Choose a newer mode of treatment of menstrual migraine.
5. Recognize the various clinical presentations of tensiontype and cervicogenic headache.
