Introduction to Motivational Interviewing to Promote Behavioral Change in Substance Use Disorders

This is an introductory course to motivational interviewing to promote behavioral change in substance use disorders. Primary care clinicians often lack effective tools to influence behavioral change in patients with at risk substance use. The SBIRT framework has been shown to reduce heavy alcohol use when implemented within primary care settings and would be beneficial to clinicians within the ThedaCare system in order to effectively serve their community.
