The goal of this program is to improve iron supplementation and management of alcohol-associated liver disease. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Explain the importance of hepcidin in iron regulation. 2. Assess ferritin levels to diagnose iron deficiency. 3. Select appropriate intravenous iron preparations for various indications. 4. Diagnose alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH). 5. Optimize management of severe AH.
